London, Oetober 17 Mr. T. O. M'. Sopwith, who founded ' th'e Sopwith Aviation C'ompany, Limited, and who also is an ardent yachtsmian, has issued a challenge for the America Cup, with his new all •steel yacht Endeavour. New York,' Oetober 17 A f ormal challenge for the America Cup had not been received on Tuesday by the New York Yacht Club. If the practice of other years is followed, various syndieates will be formed to build yachts and fh'e defender will be selected after a series iof eliminatidn races.
