SERIOUS CLASHES OCCUR BETWEEN PICKETS AND WORKERS DYNAMITE U'SED

New York, Oct. 17 Further outbursts of violenos along the National Recovery Act strike front oceurred to-day. These were at Los Angeles, where pickets and workers, clashed in a garment strike; at Wilkesbarre, where dynamite damlaged the homes of two miners; and at Brocktop (Massachusetts), where the police guarded the Douglass Shoie Company against invasion from strikers. The continuance of strike s was reported San Juanquin Valley, where 12,000 cotton packers are out; th'e coal miners at Indiana; the silk rayon workers in Rhode Island, Pennsylvania and New Jersey; and the sardine fishermen at Monterey (Calif omia) . The Labour Department reported to-day that over 620,000 workers refurned to- jobs during September in seventeen industrial and business groups.
