— : SUCCE5SFUL FUNCTION IN the peerless hall' Despite hard times the Peerless Hall became a rendezvous for pleasiire and bargain-seekers last Wednesday on the occasion of the annual bazaar effoi't of the Methodist . -Ghureh. The bazaar was opened at 11 a.m. by Rev. F. Bateup and brisk business was done throughout the day and evening. The stalls representing "Days of the Week" were appropriately decorated under the able leadership of Miss R. Malcolm. The stall holders were as follows: "Monday," Miss Beryl Davidson; "Tuesday," Mesdames Rosser, Whitley and Glover; "Wednesday," Mes-. dames Hardie, Scarr and Graham; "Thursday," ^ Mesdames Nickolas, Tuck and M.cArthur; "Friday," Mesdames Harris and Davidson; "Saturday," Misses Malcolm and C. Harris; ice cream, Mrs. Weeks; flower stall, Mrs. Wall, Misses A. and E. White, A. Sloane, N. and M. Dally; fruit salad, Mrs. Brown and Miss Stembridge ; fairy well, Mrs. Goddard; luncheon room, Mesdames Steele, McDermott, Howe, Hooper and Pethyhridge; afternoon tea, Mrs. Bear and Misses Auberton, Biddle, Pethybridge and Bateup; cooking competition, Mrs. Ball. Judge, Mr. Bear.
