(Rec. 8 p.m.) London, October 14. Geneial O'Duffy was enthusiastieally welcomed at Cork. The Civic Guards surrounded the hotel where the Blue Shirts were meeting. General O'Duffy disclosed that a parish priest had warned him that arrangements had* been made to amhnsh him at Tralee,, so he had used a misleading car number and got through safely. He added, referring to the meeting at Bendon to-morrow, "As I was told, I shall not be allowed to go. They will not intimidate me. I hold my life as cheaply as that." (snapping his fingers) . "The most they can do will' be to shoot me. I do not believe that they have courage enough for it, except when they number 100 to 1." The Ulster Government has interned 34 of those arrested on October 13. The prisoners include several university students.
