FRANKTON There was again a good yarding of all classes of fat sheep at the weekly stock sale. at Frankton yards yesterday. Good competition was met and all classes were well up to late quotations. Beef came forward in large numbers, but competition was slightly easier and late rates were not maintained. Pigs came forward in large numbers, but the yarding did not comprise very many choice baconers. The rates were fully up to schedule, ' but were not as high as last week. Quotations : — Sheep. — Heavy prime wooly wethers, 28s to 30s 6d; medium prime wooly wethers, 23s 9d to 26s 6d; heavy prime shorn wethers, 24s 3d to 24s lld; medium prime shorn wethers, 20s pd to 22s 9d; light prime shorn wethers, 17s to 18s 9d; heavy prime maiden woolly ewes, 22s 6d to 25s 9d; heavy fat woolly ewes, 18s 6d to 19s 9d; medium fat woolly ewes; 17s 3d to 18s; light fat woolly ewes, 15s 9d to 16s 6d; heavy fat shorn ewes, 16s 3d. to 16s 9d; medium 14s to 15s 3d; heavy prime woolly hoggets, 25s 6d to 28s; medium do, 21s^ 6d to 24s 6d; light do, 16s 5d to 18s 9d; spring lambs, extra prime, to 29s 9d; heavy prime, 22s 6d to 24s; lighter prime, 18s to 21s 6d. Beef. — Extra heavy prime bullocks, £5 18s 6d to £6 5s; medium prime bullocks, £5 7s 6d to £5 15s; lighter prime bullocks, £4 i7s 6d to £5 4s; heavy prime cows, £4 2s to £4 8s; medium prime cows, £3 10s to £3 18s; lighter prime cows, £2 17s to £3 7s 6d; light prime cows, £2 2s to £2 12s 6d. Pigs. — Heavy prime baconers, 46s to 58s; heavy prime porkers, 28s to 38s.
