(Rec. 7.50 p.m.) London, Oct. 10. Europe is enthralled at night by the spectacle of showers of shooting stars. The phenomenon has not been seen in London owing to clouds. Lisbon reports that "millions of stars are dropping out of the sky like a rain of bright light." Parisians thronged the streets and leaned from windows watching the dazzling display. Cologne and Bacelona were similarly spell-bound by the phenomenon.
