ANNUAL PEDIGREE BULL SALE HELD AT TE AWAMUTU
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton, report as follows on the annual Te Awamutu pedigree bull sale held under the auspices of the Te Awamutu Jersey Club at Te Awamutu on Wednesday: We submitted a good share of the 200 bulls catalogued, our en'tire offering being comprised of praetically •all yearling and two-year Jersey bulls, the absence of aged bulls being noticeable. Very keen interest was shown by the large crowd of local purchasers in the sale and bulls with butterfat backing and typey conditioned animals sold without exception well, on about a par with the values recorded at the recent combined breeders' bull sale, while poorer eonditioned stock and those without G.O.H.T. and C.O.R. records behind them were more or less neglected. Whenever quality animals came into the ring, the spirited eompetition was forthcoming, but interest waned slightly towards the latter part of the day, although over all a very satisfactory average was secured. We quote the following saies: — Yearling Jersays. — Mr. E. R. Johnson, Mangapiko to Mr. A. Coulter, Te Awamutu "Mangapiko Marksman" 12 gns; O/a. Mr. G. S.
