(Rec. 8.55 p.m.) Sydney, Sept. 29. A mystery crime was coinmitted early this morning when the body of John Stanislaus Keane, aged 37, a hookmaker, with three bullet ' wounds in the head and' neck was found lying beside the pavement at Mascot. The police are of the opinion that Keane was the victim of a gangster outrage. They believe that the gangsters took him in a car "for a ride" and shot him at close range as there are powder marks on the face. Two shillings were found in the man's pocket. Keane lived at Undercliff a suburb about four miles distant.
