Reports from the site of the wrecked radio station where a pan- American Air-lines engine provided power to work the radio, tell of appalling damage in the city of Tampico which was wrecked by an 115 m.p.h. hurrieane on Sunday evening. The hurricane blew itself out in an hour. There is no confirmation of previous reports that 5000 are dead but the death roll is very heavy. The populace is panic-striken, Thousands are homeless and hundreds are missing or are buried under the ruins of the city, three-quarters of which is destroyed. It is believed to be the greatest disaster in recent Mexican history.
