(Rec. 11 p.m.) Sydney, Sept. 26. Damages totalling £1000 are being claimed in the Supreme Court from Herbert S. Thompson and S. Readford following the death of the thoroughbred mare Sun Dear while giving birth to a foal by Heroic at Thompson's stud f arm at Tarum Park. Readord is an employee. at the arm. George Bell, the plaintiff, said that he bought Sun Dear in New Zealand for a little more than £200. He claimed that the mare died rom inattention and that the foal was mutilated and killed during birth. As a result of the treatment, he lost both the mare and the foal. He valued the latter at £450. The case was adjourned.
