KIRWEE SHOOTING
SET QF FIN GERPRINTS ON MAGNETO GIVE CLUE , Christchurch, Saturday A 'giood set of fingerprints is the most promising clue in the possession of the police in the case of the shooting of Allott Caygill Gallagher at Kirwee on Wednesday last. The prints are from the magneto stolen from the tractor at the time. The mageto was taken in conjunction with a series of thefts of motor car parts from the district in recent weeks. ■The prints may lead to a solution ■of the identity qf the criminal. They have been forwarded to the Criminal Registration Department at Wellington.^ iGallagher is now progressing favourahly.
