COLLEEN'S LETTER

COLLEEN.

Dear Kiddies, — Such ;a lovely fat budget from yqu all this week, and what do you think, not one of my members sent in a late entry. It makes things ever so much easier for Colleen, so now we have set this record we mnst do our utmost to keep it up. Juniors, I arp very pleased with the ' original verse you sent me this week; I can see we have some very promising little rhymesters in Kosy Korner. Frances sent in a very eharming little poem which places her five steps above the other members on our points ladder, but no doubt our Seniors will be hot on the trail next week, as it is their turn for points in the gramophone competition. Kiddies, I'm very sorry to disappoint you this week again over the membership certificates, but poor Mr. Printerman has been so very busy this week that he just hasn't had a

minute to print us any more, but promises that you shall have them as early next week as possible. In the senior section, in most cases the suggestions you proposed for the Christmas Carnival Avere very good and quite practicahle. Wild Rose is the winner of the hook prize this week, but Peanut and Peach Blossomwere So close behind that I ha.ve decided to send them both merit cards. And now a last word of praise to all my Kosy Korner members who sent in contributions to the Fun Corner tbis week. They were all simply splendid. Unfortunately, I don't tbink there will be room for all the jokes and riddles this week, but we may be able to print the rest in our little supplement on Wednesday. ■ I hope you will all like the competitions for next week and I will eagerly look forward to a nice fat mail bag from the postman.
