The Parliamentary select committee recommended the appointment of a non-Parliamentary committee to prepare an addx*ess to the King cqntaining a statement of the case for secession, and applications to both Houses of the Imperial Parliament for legislatxorx to effect the withdrawal of AYest Australia from the Federation. The' Legislatxve Couxxcil adopted the recommendation.
