THE CORRECT SOLUTION. ! _ i There were heaps of entries for the j hidden trades compttition and the majority of you had them correct or , very nearly so. The very first entry j received on Sunday was from Prin- ; cess Pat, and as it was entirely correct, Pat takes the prize. Many con- j gratulations, to one of oujr newer members. The correct solutions were: — 1. At the door a negro ceremoniously received them. (Grocer). 2. He was a man whom we loved to watch make rings with his pipe smoke. (Watchmaker). j 3. I never want to see that terrible . fellow again. (Hatter.) _ 4. We found them ill in. ernest s j house. (Milliner.) 5. My father when I had ear ache : mistook it for something worse. (Chemist.) .. 6. He tried t0 make the cats taii ornamental. (Tailor.) 7. I went to see Cassandra performed (Draper.) . 8. Some had njews a gentleman had given us. (Newsagent.) o 9. At the station Eric met us. (Stationer) . 10. I like no fruit but cherries. (Butcber.) Senior Competition. The Seniors sent in some very clever nimal A.B.C.'s and several of them showed distinct originality. . After this, I am encouraged to give you a poetry competition. Tbe winner was Roxane, one of our foundation members and her win give* her five points to place her on the top rung of the gramophone points ladder, with Zeo and Frances Clay. The competition is certainly becoming more interesting every week.
