The Evening standard says the Meat Reorganisation Commission has rejected the proposal for a Id in the lb levy on all imported meat, estimated to yield £9,000,000 annually, which would ensure to British farmers a guaranteed price of 48s per cwt. of cattle and 56s per cwt for sheep.
