club meeting PRELIMINARY PREPARATIONS FOR A SECOND BOUT IN1VITATION TO AMATEURS A meeting of the executive of the Rotorua Wrestling Association was held in Mr. L. Fisher's rooms on Monday last. Mr. E. G. Guy presided. A balance sheet of the WalkerPereira bout was submitted by the secretary-treasurer and disclosed a satisfactory position. Members mentioned that the bout had been responsible for a big influx of visitors into the town and undoubtedly had been a big stimulus to business. On the motion of Colonel E. G. , Fraser, seconded by Mr. L. Gresham, it was resolved to place on record the executive's appreciation of the services of Mr. C. Lloyd in arranging the seating accommodation and to Mr. L. Fisher for his efficient organ?sing. It was proposed and carried that for the next bout the back rows of the .ringside seats be raised and the other .seats be shifted a little further back. This should improve the visibility all round. It was resolved to stage the next bout on Saturday, S'eptember 30, and the secretary was instructed to get in touch with the New Zealand Union in order to select the best bout offering , in New Zealand. All of the leading wrestlers are anxious to wrestle in Rotorua and an excellent match .should be made. It was also decided to call for applications from local amateurs to submit their names for preliminary bouts. It was stated that there are quite a number offering who will be able to supplement the amateurs .who will be brought from Auckland.
