The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Hamilton, report on their Cambridge stock sale held on onday as follows: — A medium entry of cattle included a few ox beef, a majority of medium to inferior fat cows and several pens of yearling heifers. The steers sold well, while late rates were maintainfo rthe fat and store cows, and the yearling heifers brought prices fully up to the best recent quotations. A. total clearance was effected. In the dairy section an entry of principally all heifers contained a fair number of quality animals. Practically everything changed hands at values firm on late rates, quality cattle being sought after most. We quote: Medium ox beef to £5 10s; good quality fat cows
£3 to £3 12s 6d; medium £2 7s 6d to £3; lighter do. £1 15s to £2 5s; good store s £1 2s to £1 11s; medium. do. to £1 ls; good quality yearling heifers £2 7s 6d to £2 15s; medium' do. £1 19s to £2 7s; best Jersey dairy heifers £6 10s to £8; good quality do. £5 to £6; fair conditioned £3 15s to £4 15s; inferior to £3' 10s go'od springing dairy cows £5 to £6 10s; medium do. £3- 15s to £4 15s; others to £3 10s. Pigs offering were entirely stores and weaners and lively competition continued throughout. Prices were right up to late Frankton quotations, every th'ing selling rapidly. We quote: Large stores £1 2s to £1 6s; medium do. 17s to 21s; slips, 14s to 17s, large weaners, 10s to 13s; small do1. up to 9s .
