becoming serious in agricultural districts

London, September 5. The plight of the parched villages in England is serious. Cattle are dying despite the expense of winter feeding. Dairy herds are faced with a rapidly falling milk yield and it is feared if the drought. continues they will be unable to supply the towns. Water in many villages is being sold at 6d a churn.
