THAMES VALLEY POSITION

Te Aroha, Tuesday. The chairman of the Thames Valley Power Board has telegraphed to the, Acting-Prime Minister (Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates) in rfef erence to a press report that Mr. Coates is maldng representations through the High Commissioner's office on hehalf of the Southland Power Board in regard to the interest charges on their £750,000 loan and pointing out that the Thames Valley Board is in a similar position with interest falling due on September 1 on a loan of £350,000 at 6 per cent. The Thames Valley Board is asking Mr. Coates to negotiate with London on its hehalf also
