(Rec. 8.50 p.m.) Sydney, August 28. At thte wool salfes, 10,330 bales were offered and 10,099 were sold, while 4117 bales were disposed of privately. The market opened with strong and sustained competition from all sections. As cpmpared with the closing saies in June, the market showed an advance in prices of 30 per cent while compared' with the operiing rates for last year, an advance of 45 per cent. Was showh. Excellent clearances were effecti ed and greasy Merino sold at 19®d.
