Auckland, Wednesday. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report: — At our weekly Westfield fat stock market beef was penned in large numbers. There was a falling off in demand and values were easier on last week's sale. Extra choice ox sold to 18s per 1001b., choice and prime ox 15s to 17s, secondary 12s to 14s, prime young cow and heifer beef 15s to 17s, secondary 10s to 14s. Heavy prime steers ranged from £6 10s to £7 5s, lighter £5 10s to £6 7s 6d, light £4 15s to £5 7s 6d, un- • finished and small £3 5s to £4 10s, ; extra heavy prime young cows and : heifers £5 to £5 10s, heavy £4 10s ; to £4 15s, lighter, £3 7s 6d to £3 17s ; 6d, light £2 7s 6d to £3 5s, other : cows £1 5s to £2 5s. j
