OHAUPO HORSE SALE
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Hamilton. report having held their Ohaupo Horse Sale on Monday, August 21, as under: — There was a good yarding of horses of good class, but owing to the incessant rain throughout the sale the yarding was effected and less than the advertised number came forward. Considering the wet conditions the sale was quite satisfactory, many horses changing hands at top market value. The following were the principal saies. Unbroken draught colts, 3-years, £27^ ditto. £26; unbroken 3-year filly, £20 10s; 2-year gelding £20; useful farm horses, £27, £25, £20; heavy draught gelding, 5-years, £30; light draught "mare, £28; aged gelding, £20; ditto. £20 10s, £16; heavy 6-year gelding, £30; light gelding 6-years, £16, ditto. £20; aged and inferior sorts £3 to £12.
