Christchurch, Wednesday The Coalition candidate for the Lyttelton seat, Mr. F. W. Freeman, idelivered an election address to-night before his first large audience when he spoke at Cashmere Hills. Mr. greeman devoted a large part of his speech to a survey of world prices arguing that there was reason | to hope for an early return to prosperity. He def ended the increase in the exchange rate on the grounds of the necessity for relief to the f armers. He also attacked the policy of the Labour Party which he described as one of "promises made for the purpose of vote catching." If the Labour Party was returned to power, it would never be able to fulfil its pro'The candidate was accorded a vote nf thanks and confidence.
