GOODS APPLICATIONS DEGISIONS MADE RESPECTING (WHAKATANE AND OPOTIKI SITTINGS SOME IN ABEYANCE The No. 4 District -Transport Licensing Authority has released deeisions in respect to applications heard at Whakatane on August 7, granting continuQUs goods service licenses under the Transport Licensing Act, 1931 as f ollows : — Alfred Whitman Ruff, Nukuhou North, authority to operate six vehicles over highways in the Whakatane and Opotiki counties. Ernest Albert Currah, Whakatane: License granted for one vehicle to operate over highways embracing an area from Whakatane borough .to include Thornton, Te Teko, Edgecumbe, Taneatua and Waimana. Tom Wray, Otakiri: Authority to operate two vehicles over highways embracing an area covering Whakatane county. Robert Alexander MacPherson, Matata. Authority to operate one vehicle over highways within Whakatane county. Samuel Tonman Keen, Awakere: Authority to operate one vehicle over Highways No. 15 (Whakatane-Taur-anga) No. 326 (West Bank) and No. 24 (Whakatane-Rotorua) in so far as these lie within Whakatane county boundaries. B[mbent Bros. Ltd., Whakatane: Authority for two vehicles to operate over highways in the Whakatane county including the route Whakatane to Te Whaiti turnoff. George Arthur Jennings, Thornton: Authority to operate one vehicle over highways between Whjakatane and Te Whaiti turnoff and between Waiotapu and Rotorua. Louis Hunter, Whakatane: Authority to operate one vehicle over an area embracing highways within the Whakatane county and a route over No. 15 Main Highway .between Whakatane nd Opotiki boroughs. Rupert John Mercer, Edgecumbe: Authority to operate one vehicle over highways within the boundaries of Whakatane county. Hall and Howat, Whakatane: Authority to operate three vehicles over highways in Whakatane, Opotiki and Rotorua counties. Taneatua Wilson, Ruataki North: Authority to operate one vehicle over highways within the boundaries of Whakatane county. Anderson and Neilson, Edgecumbe: Authority to operate two vehicles over highways within an area embracing Whakatane, Opotiki and Rotorua counties. Walter Herbert .Semmens, Taneatua: Authority to operate one vehicle over highways within the Whakatane county boundaries. The decision in respect to Mr. R. H. Patterson's application will not be available until a later date. Opotiki Applications The following, whose applications were heard at Opotiki on August 8, were also granted continuous goods service licenses. — John Sloan, Opotiki Authority to operate two vehicles over the Opotiki, Waikohu, Whakatane and Rotorua counties. Mrs. Florence Maud Snell, Opotiki: Authority to operate two vehicles over highways within the boundaries of Whakatane and Opotiki counties. A. E. Lovell, Opotiki: Authority to operate one vehicle over a route between Opotiki and Motuhora via Toa Toa and Motu (No. 15 Main Highway) once weekly. Mrs. Rihi Hei and Mrs. Katerina Hei, Te Kaha: Authority to operate one vehicle over the highway between Opotiki and Te Kaha and return twice weekly. Percy Clive Kelly, Opotiki: Authority to operate one vehicle over highways in the Opotiki, Whakatane and Waikohu counties. The decisions in respect to applications lodged by Messrs Roy C. Helm, Arthur W. Brassey, will not be available until a later date.
