all ready for the tournament at dannevirke EIGHTEEN TEAMS COMPETING

Dannevirke, Tue.sday. The stage is se~t for the Dominion ladies' hockey tournament, which will commence to-morrow. The remainder of the teams will arrive. today. All will be accorded a civic reception this evening. , . The weather to-day is fine, after the rain of yesterday, and the grounds promise to be in good order. Eighteen teams will compete, 16 from outside centres, ineluding Eastern (S'outhland), the present .holders of the K Cup ; also Otago, holders of the Floyd Shield. . During the sectional play nine games will be played on each day,.one in the morning and the. remainder in the af ternoon. To-morrow's draw is : Section A. — Akitio v. Auckland, Canterbury v. Wairarapa B, Ruahine B v. Southland. Section B. — Feilding v. Wellington (10.30 a.m.), Otagq v. Ashburton, Ruahine A v. Wanganui. Section C. — Marlborough v. Bush, Manawatu v. Eastern, Taranaki v. Wairapapa A.
