Vancouver, Aug. 21. In lengthy intimate talks between Mr. G. W. Forbes (New Zealand) and the Canadian Government, irritation over Canada's treatment of some New Zealand butter shipments held first place. Mr. Forbes did not pbject so much to the restrictions imposed by the treaty as to the sudden applieation of the dumping clause by Canada- on shipments regularly coming to Vancouver. Under a new arrangement which Mr. Forbes is taking home with him the Canadian Government will keep New Zealand exporters fully advjsed several months ahead as to how they should govern shipment- schedules. Anyway, the Canadian-New Zealand treaty will be renewed in Novemher for another year, with slight modifications.
