canadian railwaymen prepared to resist A STRIKE BALLOT

-By Telegraph — Copyright).

Montreal, August 16. Following the calling of a strike ballot returnable on September 1, the representatives of 200,000 railwaymen stated to-day that a suit would be entered for recovery of all wages kept by the companies under the 10 per cent cut instituted in February 1. They claim their wage agreement was violated thereby. The strike ballot is the men's answer to the railv/ay's announcement of a second 10 per cent reduction.
