Sydney, Aug. 16. The Herald says a new political organisation, to be known as the Consuttiers' Tariff Reduction League, will be launched in Sydney in the next few days. Its main object will be to secure tariff reduction and reforms in trade and production restrictions. A specific demand will be- made for the immediate reduction of existing tariff s to the level of 1921-30, and the elimination of protective duties on goods the manufacture of which in Australia is uneconomic. The principles of the Ottawa agreement will he endorsed. The League intends if its aims are not achieved, to submit, candidates at the ne-xt Federal elections.
