(Rec. 8 p.m.) Munich, August 16. The Chancellor, Herr Hitler, narrowly escaped injury while motoring on the Austro-Bavarian frontier when the car immediately behind him was involved in a serious accident. This car contained Herr Hitler's adjutant, Herr Bruchner who was hurled to the road, breaking his arm in several places anc' suffering a fractured skull and grave internal injuries. Herr Hitler's sister and three nieces who were also in the car, were injured.
