LORRY HITS SHEEP
ROTORUA VEHICLE RUNS INTO MOB NEAR PAPAMOA Tauraixga, Saturday. A collision on the Ta-uranga-Te Puke Road on Friday in the vicinity of the Papaixxoa Sch'ool is reported to have resulted in the killing of eight sheep. A motor lorry, driven hy" Mr. L. T. K. Seahill, of Rotorua, travelling towards Tauranga, colilided with a mob of sheep which was in charge of Mr. W. J. Benner, of Papamoa The sheep were being driven to Katikati. The lorry, which was laden with' timber, ran off the road and sank in soft ground up to the axles, but did not capsize. The vehicle beloixgs to Messrs Dawson and Sons, Rotorua. After the aceident a visit to the locality was made hy Constable Moore and Mr.' W. H. Roy, county inspector.
