railway association says inquiry reeks of injustige SAVING GOVERNMENT'S FACE

Sydney, August 1. It is announced on behalf of the Railways and Tramways Salaried Officers' Association that the association has decided to take legal steps to safeguard the interests of the four railway employees who according to the railway commissioners were responsible for the Bowning accident. The association's ofiicial. statement says: "The whole inquiry into the Bowning accident reeks with injustiee and indicates the lengths to which officialdom is prepared to go in an effoi't to save the face of the Government for its policy of ineptitude and disregard of public safety."
