THE COMPETITIONS
A FAIRY STORY FOR THE JUNIORS THIS WEEK. This week, as the Gramophone Competitions are for the Juniors, I have been thinking that a fairy Story from our 6-11 years would be a good idea. But one that isi entirely original is asked for this time,. so you will all have to put your thinking caps on, kiddies. The limit for words we will make 300, so you all ought to be able to write me a very interesting fairy story with 300 words to do it in. Now for the Seniors. I know you are all very keen on reading books, so this week I want you to tell me about the most interesting and enjoyable book that you have ever read, and don't 'forget to tell me also why you class it as your favourite book. The best letter will receive a prize valued at 2s 6d.
