UNDERSTOOD TO BE RESULT OF WELLINGTON POLICE RAIDS LITERATURE SEIZED

Wellington, Friday. Three met, alleged to be members of the Communist party in Wellington were arrested by the poliee today and will appear in the Magistrate's Court to-morrow charged with printing and possessing seditious literature. It is understood that the arrests arose out of the seizure of books, pamphlets and documents by the poliee, when they raided two houses on search warrants. The literature seized was handed to the Attorney-General in order te determine whether it could be classed as seditious.
