MEMBERS OF EXPEDITION ARRIVE FROM BASE CAMP

(Rec. July 28.) Calcutta, July 27. Mr. Hugh Ruttledge, the leader and five members of the Everest Expedition, have arrived at Darjeeling from the base camp. They were warmly welcomed. Five others, including Mr. Birnie, are expected to-day. All are fit except Messrs McLean and Wood Johnson, who are in hospital and Mr. Birnie, who has a frost bitten foot.
