YOUTHFUL BURGLAR ADMITS LONG SERIES OF OFFENCES

Wellington, Thursday. Twenty-one charges of breaking and entering shops and houses in the city, one charge of attempted breaking and entering, and one charge of theft, were admitted in the Magistrate's Court this morning by Charles William Arthur Cairns, aged 18 years, a salesman. He was committed for sentence. Cairns admitted using explosives on two dccasions. Evidence was given that jewellery ' worth £300 was stolen.
