BULK OF OUTPUT GOING TO BRITAIN UNDER SUBSIDY
-By Telegraph — Copyright).
(Rec. 11 p.m.) Melbourne, July 27. Fruit-growers have been given to understand that there is a possibility of the embargo by New Zealand against Australian citrus fruits being partly lifted. Australian shippers, however, are rapidly clearing the whole of their fruit for the United Kingdom under the Government's subsidised scheme and the loss of the New Zealand market is not severely felt'. Choice oranges and lemons are selling in Sydney and Melbourne at 4/- to 10/ a case.
