Rotorua Golf Club In view of the Rotorua and Bay of Plenty Hunt Club's meeting, there will be no fixed matches under the auspices of the Rotorua Golf Club on Saturday next. The second round of the championship will be played today and over the week-end, opponents to arrange their own times. Douglas Credit Address The growing interest in the Douglas Social credit movement in Rotorua will be stimulated njext week by the visit of Mr. A. E. Robinson, provincial secretary of the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Farmers' Union, who will address. a meeting on the Douglas system in the Grand Theatre next Tuesday night. Mr. Robinson is a most able and f earless speaker and as a close student of the Douglas system, has a sound grasp of his subject. Race Day Traffic Special regulations for the control of traffic on Saturday during the Rotorua and Bay of Plenty Hunt Club's meeting are published in the advertising columns of this issue. Important Golf Competition With the completion of the eclectic competition during the coming weekend, matches for the major trophies of the Motutara Golf Club will be commenced on Wednesday August 2, ! and Saturday August 5. The trophies are the Duncan Cup, for men, and the Tapper Rosebowl for lady players, both of which will be played for on stroke competition rules and handicap, the best three of four cards returned to count.
