Miss L. Bailey, of Blenheim and Miss V. Meredith, of Palmerston North, were guests of Mrs. E. A. Meredith at the week-end. I Miss Jean Wilson and Miss Betty 'Goldie, of Auckland, return to-morrow | after a weeks golfing holiday in Rotorua. During their stay they are guests j at Waiwera House. Mrs. F. W. Wilkie and her son David of Pukaki St., are spending the winter months in Tauranga and are staying at Hotel Roslyn. Mrs. H. Bertram, of "The Mount," Rotorua, left last Friday on a brief visit to New Plymouth, where she will stay with her parents, Archdeacon and Mrs. Evans. Mrs. O'Connell, of Kopuriki, is in Rotorua for hunt week. Many Rotorua residents will remember Mr. and Mrs. B. Brooks, the former of whom was postmaster here for several years. Mrs. Brooks and her daughter, Miss Betty Brooks, are 1 visiting Rotorua this week and are stay ing at the Commonwealth. Mrs. E. E. Harvey, of the Grand Hotel, has returned from Auckland, where she was present at the 85th 1 birthday of her mother. Mrs. Sloane and Miss P. Galbraith, of Auckland, are visiting Rotorua. Miss K. Leslie is convalescing in the King Street private hospital following an operation.
