A firm market for butter is reported from London. Finest New Zealand is selling up to 81s per cwt. The demand is strong and a further advance is confidently anticipated in the immediate future. Stocks of New Zealand butter in store are still. heavy, the aggregate being 9700 tons, compared with 3300 tons at the corresponding period last year. The cheese market is also reported firm, with an upward tendency. The following advices have been received by Auckland firms: Dalgety and Company, Limited, from Samuel Page and Son, Limited. — Butter: Prices are 2s per cwt. higher; New Zealand finest salted now 79s to 81s per cwt. Mr. H. S. Withers, from Mr. A. C. Rowson. — Butter: The market is advancing and aetive, now 81s per cwt. Cheese: The market is firm with an upward tendecy. White, 49s; coloured 52s.
