BEEF AND MUTTON PRICEIS ARE FIRMER AT FRANKTON Hamilton, Tuesday. Wether and ewe mutton showed a decided rise at the weekly stock sale at the Frankton y.ards to-day, when there was a good yarding. There was a small yarding of lambs and here quotations showed little altera.tion. Ox beef and cow beef was penned in well up to average nuixxbers and here again there was a rise in quotations. Pigs came forward in average numbers and values were on a par with late rates. Quotations: — Sheep: Heavy prime fat wethers, 24s to 27s; medium prime fat wethers 18s 6d to 22s 6d; light fat, wethers, 15s to.l7s 6d; heavy fat ewes, 18s 6d to 20s 5d; lighter fat ewes, 12s to 17s; light fat ewes, 8s to 11s 6d; heavy fat lambs, 18s to 20s; lighter fat laxnbs, 12s to 15s. Beef: Heavy fat bullocks, £6 10s to £7; lighter fat bullocks, £5 15s to £6 7s 6d; light fa.t bullocks, £4 10s to 7s 6d; light fat bullocks, £4 10s to £5 10s; heavy fat cows, £4 17s 6d to £5 5s; lighter fat cows, £3 15s to £4 10s; light fat cows, £2 14s to £3 10s. Pigs: Heavy fat baconers, 33s to 45s; heavy fat porkers, 24s to 30s.
