In keeping with the mood of the weird drama, the cavernous house is grotesquely appointed with igrimacing gargoyles 'and faded tapestries. When these scenes were properly lighted, they wei'e' positively spine-tingling in their quaiity. Whale is a master of light and shadow, as "Frankenstein" dis- j closed. i Memhers of the cast featured in the exciting film who had travelled through Wales, complimented Hall upon his achievement of realistic re- ' production. Whale was delighted with the sets.
