MAN PRACTISES HOLDS ON HIS FRAGILE WIFE ' AN AEROPLANE SPIN

Gisborne, Saturday. A separation order was issued by the Magistrate this morning in a case in which a fragile girl of 19 told a remarkable story of domestic infelicity and persistent cruelty. Her husband was an amateur wrestler, and, according to complainant's coupsel, cruelty commenced on Christmas Day, a few days after their marriage last Deeember, defendant practising upon her, the holds he had learned in the art of wrestling. Qn one occasion he had given her an "aeroplane spin" and recently after boxing with her had picked her up and thrown her into a bath full of water. The magistrate gave defendant a severe warning to lceep away xrom his wif e "in 'future.
