The annual Winchester Cup_ miniature rifles competition among cluhs affiliated with the New Zealand Minia- - ture Rifle Association was concluded on June 24,- and resulted in Hutt winning for the second time in succession, with a score of 987, the same as last year. Forty-one teams competed. ^ The Hutt scorers were: — F. W. Ching 198, l. S. Hare 198, D. Rohertson 198, EW. Veitch 198, J. B. Goldfinch 195. Hastings and Sydenham were run-ners-up with 985 each. and Christchurch and United of Christchurch f were third with 983 each. The only possible obtained in the 1200yds was by J. M- Carmiehael, of Hastings. The conditions are five a-side, ^0 shots each man, all to count.
