RESTOtElATI'ON OF PRICES Rugby, July 6. The United States delegation was in frequent telephonic communication with Washington Jlast night, and later a statement addr'essed to the Secret-ary-General of the League was issued by the American delegation. This reiterated the American policy on temporary sta'hfilisation jamplifyiing the pronouncement made last Saturday. The statement reasserted: — 4The first task is to restore prices to a level at which industry and ahove all agriculture, can function profitably and efficiently. "The second task is to preseiwe the stability of this adjustment once achieved. "The part which gold and silver should play after adjustment has heen secured would seem a further suhject suitable for consideration hy the conference." The French delegation met after receiving this statement and decided the declaration was not of a nature to .modify their attitude.
