disconcerting mistake Received 5.5 p.m, London, July 7 There was a sensation in the British Golf Championships when Gene Pharazyn's score at the short 11th hole, where his tee shot was bunker- , ed, was unprecedently challenged by the steward who declared that Pharazyn had taken seven whereas he was marked by the caddie., and agreed, that his score was six. Pharazyn requested an investigation stating that he had merely made 'his characteristic gesture hy waving his cluh after his second stro,ke to help the hall on its way.
