Londop, July 6. A thrilling fight for the golf championship is promised from the 61 who have qualified for the last two rounds. The Americans Hagen and Dudley lead the field. A number of British players have a chance of capturing the event. To-day's greatest effort was Mitchell's 68, Duncan had a tragic experienee. He was. one under fours for thirteen holes, then made such a mess at the fourtaenth that he took ten to hole out, with the result that he failed to quqlify, as did C. Whitcombe and the American Burke. Record galleries followed the leading players.
