SOCIAL CLUB
FORTNIGHTLY EVENING The Opotiki Jazz and Social Club held another of its fortnightly evenings in the Farmers' Social Rooms on Saturday. There was a record number of members present and a very pleasant time was spent. Mr. H. Satchwell made a very capable M.C. and Miss J. Downey played the extras. Those present included: Mesdames G. Dawson, black georgette, K. Irwin, floral igeorgette; L. D. Duff, green satin; A. Hilford, apricot georgette; J. D. Clark, red melloglon; W. Cresswell, black taffeta; E. MacKay, ivory satin; W. Smith, scarlet georgette; McPherson (Te Kuiti) apricot georgette. Misses B. Short, pink georgette; L. Clark, black georgette; J. Kirkbride, black velveteen; J. Todd, midnight blue crinkled crepe; Z. Gordon, black satin; M. Birkmyer, figured georgette; N. Kemp, lemon satin; C. Payne, flame georgette; L. Bennett, black and gold spotted georgette; N. Tyrie, green georgette; P. Holloway, floral eorgette; J. Doiwney, black georgette; K. Garvey, ivory georgette; F. Sydenham, black embossed georgette; A. Tabb, black satin.
