BAN ON AUCKLAND STOCK
Rec. July 3, 7.0 p.m. London, July 3. The newspapers quote fully the Auckland TramWays Boafd's explanation of its action in regard to payment of interest ih New Zealand currency. The' case is couple'd with that of the Otago Harbour " Board which, in announcing a reduetion of 20 per cent, added : — "It is probable that the board will he issuing a renewal loan ih London in the near future. We cOnfidently trust that the effeet of this legislation will not prejudice our positioh in yOur estimation." The Financial Timbs says that the ban on d'ealings in Auckland Tramways Stock on the Stock Exchange c'ontinued on Saturday.
