Johnson who was the mover at the last meeting of the borough couni cil of a motion to investigate the, possibility of getting rid of the higher paid officials of the council staff. Providing a Bunker Some - discussion occurred at the general meeting of the Motutara Golf Club regarding local rules and abuses in lifting on the fairways, particularly within a short distance of the tees. Together with reeommendations in this matter, Mr. T. S. Robertson also recommended that the committee consider across the road as .playable from the nnmber four tee. He contended that this ground would constitute a bunker and would serve to teach learners to play from such positions. The suggestion met with the general approval of themeeting. Previously this area has been treated as out of bounds. Only Known in N.Z. "You know I ne-ver heard the. word j 'Australasia' in America," said Mr. j A. H.
