PASSENGER LORRY HIT BY MOTOR CAR THREE WOMEN INJURED 1 Hastings, Monday. Three women were injured when a motor-lorry containing 20 passengers from Napier, on their way to a religious meeting at Hastings, was struck by a motor car on the NapierHastings Road in the vicinity of the Whakatu turn-off, a few minutes before 7 o'clock last night. All the injured were admitted to the Napier Hospital. Their condition is reported satisfactory. The names of the injured are: — Mrs. Ada James, aged 57 years, of Burlington Road, Napier, deep scalp wounds. Mrs. Isabella McTaggart, aged 57 years, Milton Road, Napier, sever© cut on the left side of the forehead. Mrs. Nellie MeEwen aged 54 years, of Ossian Street, Port Ahuriri, fracture of the upper arm. The motor lorry was driven by Mr. r- Scott, and the car was driven by Mr. Charles McLeod, of Wanganui. _ The front of the car struck the driving side of the lorry with such' force that the lorry turned over on its side.
